The display stands out with its 1152 local dimming zones and mini-LED backlighting. Each dimming zone is controlled by an AM driver chip to reduce glare and maintain consistent contrast.
The monitor also features the halo control algorithm used in Hisense’s premium mini-LED TVs to enhance the monitor’s image quality. The G7 Ultra reaches a maximum brightness of 2000 nits and is HDR1400 certified.
The display also features a special “Obsidian Screen” layer that reduces glare by up to 1.8 percent and enhances image clarity in bright environments. The panel offers a wide 178-degree viewing angle and a 1000:1 contrast ratio.
The gaming monitor operates with dual refresh rate modes: 160 Hz at 4K resolution and 320 Hz at Full HD resolution. This gives gamers the choice between sharper visuals and a faster gaming experience.
The monitor offers FreeSync Premium support and a 1 ms GTG response time. Color accuracy includes a wide color gamut, including 99% DCI-P3, 100% Adobe RGB, and 99% sRGB. ΔE<2 color accuracy and 10-bit color depth (8-bit + FRC) are supported. The panel also features a QD quantum dot layer to improve color reproduction.
Connectivity options include DP 2.1, HDMI 2.1, a USB-C port providing 90W power, and a headphone jack. The monitor also features a low blue light mode for eye health. The monitor comes in a gray design with a thin bezel, and its stand supports tilt, swivel, height, and pivot adjustments.
VESA mount compatibility is also available. Hisense also offers additional gamer-focused features like a customizable crosshair, timers, and game modes. These include a special mode optimized for Black Myth: Wukong.
